The MARPAT (Digital Subdued) Camouflage has never been officially introduced by the US Military Forces. It progressively been used by the United States Special Forces for specific operations. The Urban/Subdued variation of the American Disruptive Pattern Digital Camouflage was developped following a bilateral military exchange agreement sharing the Canadian Army CADPAT Camouflage Pattern Technology. The MARPAT (Digital Subdued) is based on the Pixelization of Four-Color (Black, Dark Grey, Navy Blue & Light Grey) and it is primarly designed for Urban Areas and Special Operations. This computer generated pattern incorporates Near Infrared protection designed to counter Night-Vision & Detection devices. Currently in use by Special Operation Forces, International Military & Security Forces.
